Kevin was born in Michigan in the shadow of crumbling car factories to a hazmat specialist who would later blow the whistle on the Flint Water Crisis. Kevin was raised on a steady diet of Spielberg movies, The X-Files, motorsports, comics and video games.
He moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream as a writer and director. He did many odd jobs, including working for California’s largest weed farm, and a security guard in between crew gigs on such shows and films as FORD VS FERRARI and FOR ALL MANKIND.
His part time work in security, encountering poverty and desperation on the streets of Los Angeles and how that fueled crime inspired his historical drama script ASHES which was semi-finalist at the Austin Film Festival in 2020. The script was praised by a reader from Esmail Corp, the production company behind critically acclaimed, Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning MR. ROBOT.
He co-wrote, directed, and produced the award-winning short film HAPPY TRAVELER, So far it has received honorable mention at IndieX and the New York International Film Awards with more accolades to come. His work features characters desperately trying to be good in a world that makes that difficult and the complicated moral choices they face. He currently is co-writer on a soon to be announced game at Mischief.
In addition, he has done development work on film and television projects for Paradox Interactive and Sega of America.
Happy Traveler is a proof of concept for a feature film currently in development at Made You Look Films. The project features Lee Shorten (The Man in the High Castle, The Terror: Infamy) as a gig economy worker who finds himself embroiled in a new job for a ride-share company that is a front for organized contract crime. It's currently on its festival run and has won awards at IndieX and the New York International Film Awards

Ashes
Snowy, bombed out Tokyo, February 1946. The Cold War is heating up. Sgt. Thomas Imamura, a suicidal ex infantryman turned translator finds himself embroiled in a hunt for war criminals amidst the black market underworld. The only question is, are these men worth saving from the killer targeting them?
Ashes was a semi-finalist at the Austin Film Festival and the ScreenCraft TV Drama competition where it was praised by readers from EsmailCorp, the production company behind the Emmy award-winning Mr. Robot. It is currently being adapted into a novel and a video game.
Film and Television Adaptation and Development
I previously have done work adapting beloved IP to the big and small screens from such companies as Paradox Interactive, Sega of America and my current employer Mischief. I also have done re-writes on feature film scripts and pilots currently under NDA.
